Bryce Kushmerick-McCune

Graduate Research Assistant

Bryce Kushmerick-McCune is a doctoral student in Criminal Justice & Criminology at Sam Houston State University and a Research Assistant at the Center for Advancing Correctional Excellence (ACE!). As a primarily qualitative researcher, her interests include incarcerated people’s coping and adjustment to incarceration, the process of prisonization, and prison staff discretion and decision-making. She earned her B.S. and M.A. from George Mason University in Criminology, Law & Society in 2021 and 2023, respectively.
